Dynatech: PSP Multiplayer With One Game

Fellow blogspot user Daniel Tang has posted instructions for playing multiplayer PSP games using a single cart. Pretty simple: Start the game, start an ad-hoc wireless multiplayer session, take the game out of the first PSP and put it into the other one, start the game, connect, done. Feedback has since shown that this does not work for all games.

Now, you may be asking yourself, “Why is J posting this when he doesn’t own a PSP and seems to actually dislike the device quite a bit?”

First off, I don’t necessarily dislike the PSP. I dislike its price, and I dislike Sony’s marketing practices. I think they could’ve done a much better job with the initial launch.

Secondly, I’m posting this because my shiny Nintendo DS has the BUILT IN option to do multiplayer with a single game without having to do all this game swapping nonsense. I’m glad PSP users can do this because it’s a great feature to have, but I’m sure there are some Sony programmers getting chewed out right now for letting this hack slip through the cracks.
