Xbox360 Doomed to PSX problems?

Just for a little perspective, this was all an illusion – XBox360 – Joystiq

Uh-oh, looks like Microsoft is taking a page from Sony’s play book…

If you take a look at the official XBox360 fact sheet you’ll notice this little blurb pointed out by Joystiq:

The information contained in this fact sheet relates to a prerelease product that may be substantially modified before its first commercial release. Accordingly, the information may not accurately describe or reflect the product when first commercially released. This fact sheet is provided for informational purposes only, and Microsoft makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the fact sheet or the information contained in it.

A couple years back Sony put out a terrifying spec sheet for the PSX, it’s answer to the home media center problem which the XBox already had in a limited capacity. They talked it up as having MP3 support, TV ripping capabilities, DVD-R, etc etc etc. Of course by the time the device came out they’d hobbled it by stripping off some of the most wanted features and after a year or so they stopped making them.

The statement above means Microsoft is covering their ass in the exact same way. Will the XBox360 make it to market with ALL the features they talk up in the video I posted below? Probably. Will I spend $300 on it when it comes out? No way.
