One of the most quoted South Park moments in our house is “They took our jobs!” mostly because it’s great fun imitating what the line turns into as the episode progresses (jibberish). I didn’t realize how many episodes since then included the line, but here’s all of them. ALL OF THEM!

(Update: Well, there was a video here but youtube took it down. No ha-ha’s for us.)

I have no idea what’s up with the fat naked dude at the end.

After spending a long time thinking about old friends and such who were probably using the newer web 2.0 social networking sites, I finally caved this morning and signed up for facebook.

This is one of the best, hell, THE best customer response I think I’ve ever received:

You guys are great. Even when I do something completely stupid — COMPLETELY!
STUPID! — you’re still so dadgum polite and helpful. Man alive, you guys
rock. And I solemnly swear to be less stupid.

Basically this was an issue where a backup was desperately needed, and thankfully it was available (not that I thought it wouldn’t be, but there’s always that fear when you start looking for said backup).

It’s definitely worth noting here that this customer didn’t actually do anything stupid. It was an innocent mistake that could happen to anyone no matter your level of experience.

So here’s to you quirkyblogger.com! I’m glad I could help, and thanks for making this sysadmin’s day :-)

This is pretty big news in the tech world if it all turns out to be true, and based on the article it sure looks like there’s no denying it.

I know I’ll be checking a machine or two at work tomorrow…
